since easter i have been sewing and sewing!! i also made strawberry jam and planted a lovely garden! when i find the time i will get the pictures up along with finally updating my etsy shop! we only have two more weeks of school and it is crunch time.

the Easter dress! this is actually two dresses in one. the pinafore/jumper can be wore separately from the other dress. i love this toile that i stumbled apon at joanns fabric store!! i bought all they had :) can you see the bunnies? the pokadot is a quilting cotton that matched perfectly!!

she looks adorable in it and i will get a picture of her in it!!

a nice surprise for me...thanks you FB! a dear new friend had this machine laying around his house and new that i loved to sew..and gave her to me!!!! joy!

isn't she lovely!! runs great just need to ge some other presser feet for it!!!

as a thank you i made his little girls purses...in my book you can never have to many handbags to cram your important stuff into at any age!!

one is a monogramed bag and the other is kinda like a sling bag, something new i was trying. they were fun to make and i am sure i will make more...can't help myself!!!

need to figure out how to remove the date stamping feture on my camera..arg!

sorry no photo.....i wish i had pictures to show of the swaps that i have done but i do not!! i sent out my goodies and have yet to have the package recieving excitment!!! i know people are busy and life does get in the way of all the things we want to do but...well i do not want to rant any more! done, out of the system and if i do recieve those packages i will happily share !!!

i love her long hair but...the screeching when it is

time to brush it is drive me crazy!!! i was just thinking of a long bob for the summer. that way she could still have ponytails if she wanted!! just a hard call to make!!

also, check out this groovy bag i made for a friend of mine! she provided the fabric and i gave my time...it turned out great!! i even had enough fabric to make a key chain and tissue holder!!!

it is a good size too! enough room for all the crap mommies need to carry but won't break your back hauling it around!!!!

this is what i made for the handmade toy swap!!! two dollies, a burp cloth, hair ponies,pin cushion and brooch. i also add some bits of fabric and trim!!

the past year has been pretty crazy for me with no real signs of stopping!! so i decided to start blogging again. i am not sure where this will take me but i am willing to take the ride!!!

i have been crafting and creating like made all year long....i really can't help it!!!! its in the blood!!!

i am not able to type very well today!! i slammed my middle finger in my driver side door last night!

i had a lovely evening planned! i was just going to the bookstore/coffee shop to hang out with a good friend and do some little crafting! i got out of my car and closed the door leaving my finger in the door. i quickly opened the door to see my finger cut on both sides. i walk into the bookstore, found my friend and we headed to the bathroom to wash my finger. we decided to head to the ER but not before i got my coffee!!!! the ER was a blast!! the nurses and doc were witty and quick!! we were in and out in a little over an hour!!

3 x-rays and 8 stiches later here i am. surprisingly not in at much pain as i thought i would be in.

now i need to figure out how i am going to get some crafting done. like many i want to start a gift pile so i am not in that much or a made rush when i want to make a gift for someone.

any way all is well and now on the road to healling!!! have a great day!!!

Christmas went well!! I love how in a matter of minutes all the mayhem and squealing calms down. When the kids are engrossed in putting together legos and listening to I PODS. My oldest was outside by 7:05 am driving his remote control car and plane. He was so excited it was great to see!! My other son slapped on his mp3 player and dove into a sea of Legos!!! He came up for lunch and that was it!!! The 3 year old, Well she played doll house and princess for hours. All in all a nice christmas.

New years was going to be very uneventful... but my oldest, who plays roller hockey was injured last night. We were at the ER until 10pm!! He sprained his ankle and will be on crutches for a bit. He is excited because I will have to drive him to school and pick him up. I guess the upside is that he wants to go to school!!!

Anyway, We are planning on relaxing today... well the kids are, anyone who knows me knows I do not relax very often.

the tree is ready and everyone is making their way to the manger. which gets rearanged daily!! i am slowly getting things together but still have some shoping to do. my 10 year old is turning out to be hard to shop for. he isn't even sure what he would like! arg!! i am off the the hobby shop and of course the fabric store!!! hope all of you christmas stuff is going well!!!!!

my camera is on the fritz!!! this seems to be a theme around blogland. mine was dropped awhile ago and well has never really worked well since. i just need it to work through Christmas thats all. i am going to pray to the camera gods and try for the Christmas cheer/decoration pictures i was trying for. hopfully i will be back with pictures soon!!!!!

i don't know about the rest of blog land but i am having a hard time getting into christmas mode!
we set up the tree and some other decorating but my head is still in the clouds. i am hoping i can shake this quickly, i am going to try some crafting and see if that helps.

i have been enjoying my leftovers all day long!! a little nibble here and there. i did't want to eat enough to get into full on nap mode!! i did get to eat the last of the stuffing which my husband was a little miffed at!!he got over it and then took a nap!!!!
well now we are gearing up for the christmas fun, i am not one to usually go out on black friday but this year i did run into target for a certaim lego item for one of my boys!! i did not go at 4am or some crazy time like that i waited until dinner time when the crowds calm down. he will be a very happy camper come christmas morning!!!!
time to make my list and check it twice!! also need to make the list of supplies for all the craft projects i want to make!!!

well the show was a bust!!! i did meet some groovy people and managed to crochet two scarves! it is just very upsetting when the show was all hyped up and then almost everyone there did little to nothing. granted these things can never be predicted but i think i will limit my craft/bizarre participation to handmade functions as much as possible. there happen to be a bunch of wholesale buyers there who could sell cheaply. which makes it difficult to sell quality handmade things at reasonable prices. i did get tons of compliments on my work but still no real sales. oh well enough ranting. !!! enjoy your day!!!!

Busy Busy! Getting ready for a show. Lots of sewing, I think I made 13 bags in 4 days!! What was I thinking stressing myself out a bit like that!! Well they all turned out very cool!! The kids all got fed and some of the laundry even was done!! So, I feel like I am batting a thousand!!

I am doing a church craft/bizzare that should be a bunch of fun!!!! I went to set up tonight and saw a few people that I have done other shows with and that was nice to see them and see how they were doing.

I plan on doing a shop update after this show tommorrow. So if you see something you like check the shop in the next couple of days.

i have been reading about everyones' halloween and all the fun that was had!! we had a great time too!!! my 3 year old filled her bag and then said she was done!! so we headed home and had just as much fun handing out candy as getting it!! looking forward to next year!!

my camera must be having issues!! i was trying to get a photo from halloween and just couldn't so i found another from the week, she is a princess ballerina!!! so cute!! the brothers were with their dad this year. the 10 year old did not trick or treat but the evil swat team guy (the 6 year old) had a blast!!!

halloween fun

My mom has a yearly a Halloween party for her now 15 grandchildren, so this year I decided to make her an apron for the party!! Do you love it?! I made one for myself too!! We all had a blast and the kids were loaded with sugar(go mom!) and of course she made a ton of yummy food!! So after I rolled away from her house I came home and made some treat bags for my kids and one for a swap(note to self go to postoffice!) I made the bags from some towels that I got from the dollar store and added some basic nylon handles!! Now we have bags ready to hold all the loot they are willing to trick or treat for!! I will help hold any almond joys they feel like they can't carry!! Have a fun halloween!!!!

i was ill again and in the hospital for 4 days but all is well again!! lol!! i finally got to give Weston his bag and his mom liked it a bunch!! i also did a little school craft/bizarre thing that was fun but not very profitable. i met a couple of really nice ladies so the day was fun!!

today i made this groovy bag for a little guy in our music together class that my daughter and i take!! this was a bunch of fun to make!! i don't usually get to make things for boys to often!! i appliqued his name on it which i think turned out well and also confirmed my desire for an embroidery machine!! lots of twisting and turning with the machine!(lucky i didn't break a needle)

i will be bringing it to class tomorrow for him!! i'm sure both his mom and him will enjoy it!!!

i think i will make some more totes for boys!! i do have 9 nephews and my 2 boys that might like a bag for all their boy stuff!!(legos and cars along with the random stick and rock collections)LOL!!! boys are funny!

this past friday i had my other procedure. the one when they sedate you and have you swallow a tube to check from the inside out. well all is well i am just tired and tired of the doctor!!! i meed to take a nap and get back to everything else i need to do!!!

well they removed my gallbladder on friday and i cam home on saturday! i feel really good just sore and a bit tired. i do have to go back for a second procedure, should be fun NOT!! have already been told by friends to stop crafting and rest so i unplugged the iron (for now) and will rest for a while. (at least an hour) lol!!! see ya soon

after complaining a bit about being closer to forty than thirty i spent most of monday in the ER. i now have to have my gulbladder removed. this will all happen on friday as in 2 days from now!! so i will really have a relaxed weekend before school starts and as long as i can sew/craft something i will stay some what sain. i am not one to just sit and wait, even at the ER i wasn't sitting still. enough ramble i will post soon!!

Well, You guessed it. It is my birthday!!! So far so good. My birthday's are for the most part are pretty calm. I guess it is because its the end of summer and everyone is getting ready for back to school and squeezing in that last vaction. In the past years I had one of my sisters get married on the 25th so the rehersal was my birthday and then another baptised her twins. My mom always has a way of making me feel good on my birthday!! If you know my mom you know what I mean!! (cup cake pan)

In the mail yesterday I recieved this goody, I was a runner up in a button counting contest that Liz from be present be here had. I love! it!!! The purse is perfect, I was looking for one that I could use just for me without all the toddler/kid stuff!!! the notebook is so pretty I am not sure what I will jot down in there.

I have also been busy organizing my sewing/dinning room and I think I have it at a good place now. My family can easily sit and eat dinner and I can create better in a less cluttered area.

the cup cake

I made the giant cup cake the other day. I followed the recipe for double chocolate pound cak that came with the pan. (wilton recipe) I was sad to say that I was very disapointed with it. The cake itself looked yummy but it really wasn't chocolaty enough and a bit dry. I plan on trying it again but with a family pound cake recipe. I do think this needs a pound cake or other dense cake in order for the bottom to support the top. I did have fun making this and will post the next try soon. Happy Baking!!!!!

As you can see my daughter didn't care what the cake tasted like! She was just excited to have a giant cup cake!!!

This pan is made by Wilton but Sur la table sells it. I love cupcakes and will be making this later on this evening!! I can't wait!!

Among all the billions of things I am trying to do before school starts!! I have been doing a bunch of clean house projects!! Must get done jobs and a few not so urgent ones!LOL!!

Here is what my sewing /dinning room looks like at the moment and my organized button collection!! I figure I will take baby steps and do the little things I can get done in a few hours.

i have been knee deep in rearanging bed rooms and painting. which all comes along with cleaning all the crap you just rearanged!!! i am getting my kids better situaded in their rooms so i can start to create a better work area for me!! if i am not happy, well no one will be and we can't have that.
i need to take some pictures of what i have been doing too. well i will add that to my to do list!!

the festivel was a blast although i was so busy painting faces and talking to people that i forgot to take pictures!! maybe that was the way it was supose to be!

i did get a chance to eat some fried green tomatos!! so very yummy and totally hit the spot!! i think i will try and make some myself along with some squash cake.

i am off today for the tomato festivel here. managed to score a free table for a little face painting for the kids. i am hoping it will go well. luckly the hubby has the day off and can watch the kids. crafting without the little people seems to go much smoother!! i hope to have some pictures later.
